Abstract:Objective:To investigate the application effect of positive suggestion in the nursing of patients with acute exacerba-tion of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods:80 patients with AECOPD were divided into intervention group(n=40)and control group(n=40)according to different nursing methods. The control group was given routine nursing, and the inter-vention group was combined with positive suggestion intervention on the basis of the control group. The intervention time of both groups was 1 week.Respiratory function,anxiety/depression/fear state, sleep quality and quality of life were compared between the two groups before intervention and 1 week after intervention, and patients'nursing satisfaction was investigated before discharge. Results:After 1 week of intervention, forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume at the first second(FEV1)and FEV1/FVC in both groups were higher than before intervention(P<0.05),and those in intervention group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The scores of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)and visual analogue scale(VAS)in both groups were lower than before intervention(P<0.05),and the scores in intervention group were lower(P<0.05).The scores of symptoms,mobil-ity and life impact of disease on Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and Saint George's respiratory questionnaire(SGRQ)of both groups were lower than before intervention(P<0.05),and intervention group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Before discharge, the nursing satisfaction of patients in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group(95.00%vs.80.00%,P<0.05).Conclusion:The positive suggestion effect can effectively improve the respiratory function of AECOPD patients, relieve their anxiety, depression and fear, and improve their sleep quality and quality of life.
