Abstract:Objective: To explore the correlation of coronary artery disease with fibrinogen/albumin ratio (FAR), blood urea nitrogen/albumin ratio (BAR) and glycated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods: This study conducted a retrospective analysis of clinical data from 180 patients with T2DM in the hospital between January 2022 and December 2024. Based on presence or absence of CHD, the above subjects were assigned into two groups, comprising 45 cases without CHD (control group) and 135 cases with CHD (experimental group). The levels of FAR, BAR and HbA1c were compared between both groups. Furthermore, patients in the experimental group were classified into low-risk group (n=43), moderate-risk group (n=45) and high-risk group (n=47) according to the degree of coronary artery disease. The FAR, BAR and HbA1c were compared among the three groups. The correlation between each indicator and severity of coronary artery disease was explored by Spearman correlation analysis. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was utilized to analyze whether FAR, BAR and HbA1c levels were independent risk factors for high-risk coronary artery disease in T2DM patients with CHD, and a prediction model was constructed. The value of the model was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: Patients in the experimental group exhibited higher levels of FAR, BAR and HbA1c compared to the control group (P<0.05). Within subgroups of the experimental group, FAR, BAR and HbA1c showed increasing trends with escalating severity of coronary artery disease (low-risk group
