Abstract:Pancreatic pseudoaneurysm is a rare complication of chronic pancreatitis, featuring complex clinical conditions and a high mortality rate. Timely diagnosis and early intervention are therefore critical. This article reports the diagnosis and treatment of 1 patient with ruptured pseudoaneurysm secondary to chronic pancreatitis. Preoperative contrast-enhanced CT with three-dimensional reconstruction was performed for accurate diagnosis and condition evaluation. Intraoperative vascular embolization using the “two-point method” achieved reliable hemostasis with satisfactory clinical outcomes. By analyzing the etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of this patient, the authors conclude that endovascular interventional embolization is a safe and effective therapeutic modality for pancreatic pseudoaneurysms.
