Abstract:< positive >Sodium valproate, also known as sodium valproate (VPA), is a broad-spectrum antiepileptic drug, which is widely used in the treatment of epilepsy in adults and children, as well as in the treatment of migraine, febrile seizures, tics and other diseases in children. VPA is safer than other antiepileptic drugs, such as ethylsuccinamide and lamotrigine [1], but there are still adverse reactions. Common adverse reactions are mainly distributed in the digestive system, nervous system, skin, blood system, etc. [2]. This case suggests that hypothyroidism is a rare adverse reaction of VPA. 1 case data the child, female, born on January 2, 2016, was 5 years old at the time of treatment, and came to our hospital on January 11, 2021 for the main reason of "finding Lengshen 10+d". The family members complained that the child had no obvious inducement to appear "dazed and absent-minded" for more than 10 days. At each attack, the child would suddenly stop the ongoing activities, his eyes were dull, he should not shout, he was in a dazed state, and he did not respond to the surrounding environment and external stimuli.
